What we worry about the most is when the most powerful nation's policies are ruled by a person and administration who just don't have a clue about how civilised people in the modern world are supposed to act.

true that! yes, there is a lot more at stake beyond the war...but sadly we have an administration that is not above using fear and the potential threat of violence against us as the only way to stay in power...what about healthcare? what about the preservation of our freedoms (have the terrorists really won if we change what defines us, our liberties?) and finally what about the environment? if we think violence is bad today over oil and religion what will we be faced with when it is a question of water?

I am trying to remember where in the constitution it says that every person has a right to healthcare. Now I am not saying that I hope people die or don't receive the medical attention they need, but I am saying that socialized healthcare doesn't work. Look at Canada...yes they get their helthcare from their govt...but it sucks and they have to wait months for a simple doctors appointment. The best thing for healthcare is competition in the industry. That would create more options and keep costs down.

But Ben, healthcare in Canada may not be perfect but neither is our system. Our system isn't BETTER than theirs- it is merely different. There is nowhere in the constitution that guarantees healthcare but that point is moot since the discussion isn't about the constitution. No where does it say we should attack a country when we were unprovoked- something that this administration did and made it the first time that we did such a thing. Healthcare is a HUMAN RIGHT and we, being American's, have a moral responsibility to take care of our own. There ARE other things other than oil we should be concerned with- and the current situation is dire.
